In December 2010, listings for AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines, were deleted from Expedia's site. The decision resulted from a dispute over the degree of access to the site's customers. AMR reversed its decision in April 2011, allowing tickets to once again be sold through the aggregate site.
Airbnb uses drip pricing; when customers search for lodging, Airbnb displays per-night prices that exclude its service fees and the total charges are not revealed until the customer selects an individual property. After a crackdown by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission in October 2015, users of Airbnb's Australian web site now see the total price of a stay including all unavoidable charges at every stage of the booking process.
American Airlines allows all children ages seven days and older to travel on both domestic and international flights. Infants under the age of two may travel on either an adult's lap or in a designated seat. Infants traveling on an adult's lap may be required to have a ticket purchased at a discounted fare. Infants traveling in their own seat must have a ticket and must be in a safety seat approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Main Cabin passengers will also receive complimentary snacks and soft drinks or even full meals on transcontinental flights. Additional food and drinks are also available for purchase on many routes. Free snacks include Biscoff cookies or mini pretzels on flights over 250 miles. Business Class and First Class passengers can enjoy premium meals and a selection of award-winning wines.

The airport also serves as a base for American Airlines Shuttle. About 12 million passengers fly through DCA on American every year, or about 33,000 people per day. American has about 49% of the market share at DCA, making it the largest carrier at the airport.
