The airline also allows children ages 5-14 to travel alone on many flights with the purchased Unaccompanied Minor Service. The service is $150 per family, per way and includes supervision from boarding until drop-off at the destination. In the end, American let its employees decide the new livery's fate. American Airlines allows pets to travel on most flights less than 12 hours. Pets may travel in the cabin for a fee of $125 per kennel per way. The animal must be at least eight weeks old and must stay in the kennel under the seat in front of you. Kennels may not exceed 19x13x9 inches, and pets should be able to stand up and move around comfortably.
American also plans to increase service from its largest hub at DFW. As announced in March, the airline reached a lease agreement with the airport resulting in 15 new regional gates after renovating the Terminal E satellite, which is scheduled for completion during the summer of 2019.
